interceptor

Since its launch at the Earls Court motor show in 1966 , the Jensen Interceptor has been an iconic car synonymous with the 1960s and 70s.

The Interceptor was designed by Vignale of Italy on the company’s existing C-V8 chassis, and originally featured a 6276 Chrysler V8 engine.

From there, the engine size was increased to just over 7-litre, and the Marks II and III that followed included various design tweaks.

As well as being a style icon, Jensen showed that they were at the cutting-edge of technology when they became one of the first companies to release a production four-wheel drive model, the Jensen FF.

The car also featured traction control and anti-lock brakes, making it a remarkable achievement that was way ahead of most other cars.

Interceptor production stopped in 1976 – Jensen Motors folded after producing just over 6000 cars. The total included 499 convertibles and 54 panther topped coupes.

The icon returned for a limited run between 1983 and 1991, producing 14 S4 cars.

Rejen has restored many Interceptors and has a fantastic knowledge of the construction of these cars. We have also developed many product lines to improve the drive of your car, such as double dip headlamp kits, high output alternators, fast wind starters, modern a/c kits, stainless tubular exhaust manifolds and copper gaskets.

We can also supply every part for the Interceptor new or used from bumpers, interior trim and engine parts to body panels.
